What sneakers to wear for raining season?

I live in Berkeley CA and it's raining season now. Obviously I don't want to wear my suede shoes and chucks/canvas. I don't like the nike af1 I currently have cuz the thick sole looks hideous. So I'm looking for some cheap sneakers or even boots to throw around in the rain (less than $50). Any suggestion? thanks fashionistas
