How do you set up an FTP to use with an iPhone app?

I have an iPhone application called Happy Talk recorder that I use to record my lectures at school. In order to transfer the lectures from my phone, it says I must do so via FTP, which from what I have read is File Transfer Protocol. I am not computer illiterate, but have yet to use anything such as this..... Can anybody help me set up my iphone with a FTP?
