Anyone else come across double standards in moderation on y/a?

I had an answer deleted yesterday,I don't mind as such, as i know it violated the guidelines ( i replied 'meanwhile back in the real world' to some daft question in m/f) but i reported an answer actually calling someone a paedophile and rapist..and it has remained undeleted despite my asking twice for it to be removed..how on earth is that not a violation of the community rules or whatever? Who are the moderators? are they really this fickle?
